Design sprint: from idea to prototype

Scroll for more

You have an idea and you wonder if the market is waiting for it. You knock on Artori's door to identify the stumbling blocks, estimate the feasibility and convert your idea into a manufacturable product. But how where do we start?

Starting at the beginning, that is our motto and the guarantee for your success. Artori works according to a product development process of 5 steps to realize your idea. The first step, the design sprint, is an effective and creative process to solve complex problems in a short lead time and to arrive at a validated design concept.

In a span of barely 4 days we define your product by using design thinking tools. The result is a prototype that we test with a test panel of your choice. This way we find out how your customers will react to your product before investing time and costs in developing it.

Creative collaboration tailored to your needs

What's more, the design sprint is an inspiring and creative collaboration between our engineers and your team of specialists. But let's be clear: we will realize this sprint together with you.

Of course, one idea is not the other. And customers also differ from each other. At Artori we believe that every project requires a specific approach. Each sprint is based on the challenge and the agenda of our customers. Discover below how such a sprint works.

Design sprint in 4 days

During a preparatory intake we listen, examine the challenges of your future product and put together the right team to ensure that the sprint week runs smoothly. Then the sprint can begin.

1. Map & sketch
We set a long-term goal, define the challenges, get inspired by existing examples and get to work with sketches.

2. Decide & storyboard
We present the sketches to the sprint team and make a selection together. The selected sketches are processed in a storyboard.

3. Design & prototype
We convert the storyboard into a prototype and prepare the customer test.

4. Interview & Document
We interview the customers selected by you and monitor their reactions to the prototype.

We process the feedback from the test users and formulate the next steps in a clear report that we explain personally.

A validated idea and prototype. What's next?

Your idea has been validated, your prototype has been tested with your target group. Now the actual work can begin: converting the prototype into a manufacturable and financially feasible product. Discover in our approach which are the next steps in our product development process.
