Plastic housing for Televic conference unit
Televic Conference already offers this unit in its range with a metal housing. For a one-off project, they wanted to replace the metal housing with a plastic alternative.
The challenge
Artori’s challenge was to design a plastic alternative with a total cost (unit price + tooling) lower than that of the original metal housing.

Technology choice was key
Based on the existing module, we created a rudimentary 3D model that allowed us to assess different technologies in terms of feasibility and cost.
This way, we were able to quickly determine whether the challenge was achievable — and which production method(s) would make it possible.
Design in function of electronics
Taking the selected production technology into account, we developed a form study with a strong focus on the placement of the existing electronic components.
Ergonomics, of course, were not overlooked either.
